    • Oh, thank you for that, Gretchen. That is how I wanted it to appear.

  14. Beautiful painting. You have taken the elegant writer and ran with it. I just love the barn using the elegant writer. And this snow scene makes me miss the snow, since it’s been in the 60’s and 70’s!

Merry Christmas Leslie and Hope you have a wonder, happy, healthy and creative 2016.

    • The elegant writer has become one of my favorite tools for some of my paintings. Thank you to you for finding it, Carol!
      …and Merry Christmas!

  15. Stunning! As Carol said, a beautiful painting – wow! I just love everything about this painting; the contrast between cold, snowy light and warm electrical light from the barn. The subtle rainbow of colours on the wood. It couldn’t be better with the WordPress snow falling as I look. So magical Lesley! You nailed it again. All good wishes to you and your family for the holidays.

    • Thank you for noticing that rainbow of colors in the barns. It took me oh so long to get comfortable with finding color in seemingly gray things. Merry Christmas, June!

  16. This is another beautiful painting. I’ve enjoyed following your blog all year and have greatly appreciated your comments. Happy New Year.
    Neil

    • I feel the same when visiting you, kestralart. Your posts make me want to strive for more in my work. Thank you.

  17. Wow – I love all the colours you have captured in the bire – and you have put in all of the fences required to make this a working farm – what a cool painting.
I trust you are wrapped up warmly and painting away in 2016.
We are sweltering here – I am definitely a Summer person

    • It has become really cold here, this past week, Stephen. …and we started the winter with very mild temperatures. Thank you for dropping by and for the comment to this painting. I have missed you!

  18. Just beautiful.

  19. Absolutely love this, it’s so peaceful to look at:)

    • Thank you, Corey. It reminded me a little of our old barn in the winter, don’t you think?

  20. As usual I absolutely love it, what beautiful painting and heart warming use of light, gorgeous

  21. Such a happy winter scene: it has some snow, but also sunshine and cows enjoying being outside! I love it!
